Hi members of Highland Crafters.

I was lying in bed the other night thinking as you do and came up with a brain wave.  I had very little sleep as a result because I was so excited. Are you ready for it? Here we go.

The idea is to get Highland Crafters members working on a collaborative range of dog coats and accessories that will be show cased on the Highland Crafters website  http://www.highlandcrafters.co.uk as well as advertised online. We aim to involve all knitters and crochet makers that have a love for making. This project would enable us to promote and recognise the wealth of talent and skill within our communities and beyond.

Participates willfollow simple instructions shown on the blog. These would be posted as steps throughout the year. As part of a team you share ideas, working progress and problem solve together. Alison and Kelly will coordinate the project so that it is well managed and structured. Just think what knowledge you could potentially learn from each other. New techniques, stitch textures colour groupings as well as make new friends etc… Alison and Kelly will setup a pro board where you can make posts. You can post comments, your own pictures, links, patterns, tuition and so much more.

We reach out to all crafters whether you would like to get involved for pleasure, for profit, to learn or to meet new friends. All levels are welcome with no stress or strings attached.

Engaging in this project together would create a great sense of community and would be absolutely hilarious because all of our pet faces would come out the wood work. We could have an exhibition of final products on the Highland Crafters website and promote it to everyone we can. Members that get involved can make for profit or for pleasure, or both. Your skills and knowledge will be recognised and promoted for all to share. Your support would be greatly appreciated to get this enterprise going.

We look forward to hearing from you on the Highland Crafters group or you can contact Alison or Kelly at enquiries @highlandcrafters.co.uk

Bye for now Alison and Kelly
